Organometallic chemistry is a rapidly growing field that has gained significant attention due to the broad impact on both organic and inorganic chemistry. Organometallic chemistry studies complexes which contain at least one bond between carbon and a transition metal.  Transition metals have a rich history in promoting organic reactions under mild conditions, which can be difficult or impossible by traditional organic methods.
